K'ey the Husky is a dog of many tricks, but most recently he's been learning how to speak! However, not in the usual sense.
Pet parents everywhere are teaching their dogs and cats to actually talk using human language with the help of alternative and augmentative communication solutions, or recordable buttons for dogs to talk.
Take a look:
When K'ey wants a belly rub, he presses the "I love you" button. When he wants a biscuit, he presses "biscuit." This is a great exercise in showing him that each of his buttons means something different.
Because each button triggers a different reward, the association is more complex than "me push button me get food." We're looking forward to keeping up with K'ey's journey!
