Poor Russ. Russel the cat needed some assistance from his owner. Russel doesn’t like messes, but unfortunately, he had made a mess while his owner was out of the house. He had eaten some food and went and threw it all up in the bathroom!
Limited to just 16 words in his vocabulary, Russel attempts to tell his owner about his upset tummy and bathroom mishap with the words HELP and LITTER.
Russel’s cleverly improvised word combination was misinterpreted as a warning that there was something wrong with the litter box, and his owner assumed it had something to do with the cat litter. In reality, however, they discover that Russel was trying to communicate that he had made a yucky mess on the ground, and the closest word he had to describe this was LITTER.
Instead of being upset with Russ, his owner praised him for the amazing thought process he went through in order to best communicate what he wanted to say.
